Key Point
Strengthening Collaboration for Future RelationshipsThe United States is Japan’s most valuable partner in terms of diplomacy and economic security, and maintaining and expanding relationships with this country, which has a high concentration of top scientific and technological talent, is an integral aspect of the university’s international strategy. On the other hand, it is important for students who will lead the next generation to create and share new values based on an understanding of the completely different cultural backgrounds and values of Japan and the U.S., not just superficial exchanges, in order to maintain sustainable and future-oriented exchanges.
For this reason, the main focus of this project is to ensure that the largest possible number of students become aware of their relationship with the U.S., understand each other through actual experience of direct interactions, and engage in exchanges from the regional perspective.
Goal
- Drastically expand the scale of exchange between Japanese and American students who will lead the next generation
- Enhance educational programs through diversification and practice of international collaborative education methods including COIL
- Build an educational model through integrated efforts of inter-university and inter-regional exchange
